TOPIC: Retrospect on Katrina and its effect on Loyola. We plan to produce
a 5-7 minute feature on the wide range of Loyola students’ knowledge on
Hurricane Katrina and its previous effects and New Orleans’ current
situation with rebuilding. We aim to show how aware Loyola students are
with the city they are living in.

TREATMENT: We will interview Loyola students both from New Orleans and
from other places. We will show people with proficient knowledge of what
has happened/currently happening, then show people that don’t have any
idea about the situation.

I believe the earphone, running shoes, and marathon winner triptych image communicates a message more effectively than the others. For inspiration, I look to music. Then I can put on my shoes and go for a run. After a run I feel the way the man does when winning the marathon, but on a smaller scale. The message that I’m trying to communicate is the feeling of “accomplishment.”

An Explanatory Post

My family comes from many different places, which has allowed me to travel since I was little. I have developed a passion for travel blogs to determine my vacation bucket list.

I like the simplicity of the theme so it won’t distract readers from the content I post. The header picture seemed appropriate because I grew up on a beach. I also liked the three boats going off into the water because it gave me a sense of adventure.
